Jan Huston, M.D. FACS

Dr. Huston is Founder and Director of Summit Breast Care. Trained as a general and vascular surgeon, she has devoted herself to the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease. She currently serves at the Connie Dwyer Breast Center at Saint Michael's Medical Center in Newark, New Jersey, where she holds the position of Medical Director. Most recently, in the summer of 2009, she was named as a board member of Saint Michael's Medical Center, a member of Catholic Health East.

The Connie Dwyer Breast Center is a wonderful place to be a doctor and a patient. Everything needed for state of the art diagnosis and treatment of breast problems and specifically, breast cancer, can be found under a single 'kind, calm, caring roof.' At The Connie Dwyer Breast Center, same day results are available for all morning biopsies.

Dr. Huston has been committed to continuing her education and honing her skills in the evaluation of mammograms, using ultrasound to enhance the physical exam and to facilitate office biopsy procedures. She has sought training in the procedures of sentinel node and stereotactic biopsies. In addition, Dr. Huston has taken a special interest in the area of oncoplastic surgery- carefully choosing the surgical site for a patient undergoing "lumpectomy" and rebuilding the surrounding breast tissue. This yields a beautiful cosmetic result with minimal scaring or defect from the procedure necessary to remove the cancer.

Diana Addis, M.D. Breast Surgeon — Fellowship in Breast Surgery, FLUENT IN SPANISH

Dr. Addis joined Summit Breast Care in 2005, and has specialized in breast surgery since 2001. She has taught surgery at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, and was Director of Breast Services at Elmhurst Hospital Center in Elmhurst New York. Dr. Addis is published and has received several awards.

Education: Fellowship in Breast Surgery at Hackensack University Medical Center. M.D. University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ – New Jersey Medical School. Bachelor of Arts (Biochemistry, Psychology) Rutgers University.

Dr. Addis resides in Union County with her husband and family.

Tamica Evelyn White, M.D.

Dr. White is the most recent member of Summit Breast Care. She has specialized and is board certified in thoracic surgery and holds a Thoracic Surgical Oncology Fellowship from Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, where she developed a special interest in the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease. Dr. White also holds a Cardiothoracic Surgery Fellowship from New York Presbyterian Hospital-Cornell University in New York City. She is published and has received awards for surgical excellence.

Michelle Mojares, P.A.-C

Michelle joined Summit Breast Care in 2005. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from New York University and her Masters in Physician Assistant from Seton Hall University/University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Michelle sees patients independently, reviewing her findings with Drs. Huston or White. This allows the patient to be seen sooner and be reassured, or get scheduled for a test and subsequent follow-up appointment with one of our doctors. Michelle is skilled in breast exam, breast ultrasound, cyst aspiration and evaluation of mammograms.

Virginia Comer, M.S, P.A.-C, FLUENT IN SPANISH

Virginia has been a part of the Summit Breast Care family since 2002. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from York College of Pennsylvania and a Master of Science in Physician Assistant from Seton Hall University/University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the New Jersey State Society of Physician Assistants. Ginny sees patients independently for post operative visits, emergencies or when patients want to be seen sooner, and is a genetic counselor for the practice.
