Jan Huston, M.D. FACS

Dr. Huston is Founder and Director of Summit Breast Care. Trained as a general and vascular surgeon, she has devoted herself to the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease. She currently serves at the Connie Dwyer Breast Center at Saint Michael's Medical Center in Newark, New Jersey, where she holds the position of Medical Director. Most recently, in the summer of 2009, she was named as a board member of Saint Michael's Medical Center, a member of Catholic Health East.

The Connie Dwyer Breast Center is a wonderful place to be a doctor and a patient. Everything needed for state of the art diagnosis and treatment of breast problems and specifically, breast cancer, can be found under a single 'kind, calm, caring roof.' At The Connie Dwyer Breast Center, same day results are available for all morning biopsies.

Dr. Huston has been committed to continuing her education and honing her skills in the evaluation of mammograms, using ultrasound to enhance the physical exam and to facilitate office biopsy procedures. She has sought training in the procedures of sentinel node and stereotactic biopsies. In addition, Dr. Huston has taken a special interest in the area of oncoplastic surgery- carefully choosing the surgical site for a patient undergoing "lumpectomy" and rebuilding the surrounding breast tissue. This yields a beautiful cosmetic result with minimal scaring or defect from the procedure necessary to remove the cancer.

Tamica Evelyn White, M.D.

Dr. White has specialized and is board certified in thoracic surgery and holds a Thoracic Surgical Oncology Fellowship from Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, where she developed a special interest in the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease. Dr. White also holds a Cardiothoracic Surgery Fellowship from New York Presbyterian Hospital-Cornell University in New York City. She is published and has received awards for surgical excellence.

Ogori N. Kalu, M.S., M.D.

Dr. Kalu joined the Summit Breast Care practice in October of 2010, and was recently appointed Medical Director of the Breast Health Program at Mountainside Hospital in Montclair, New Jersey. She completed her Breast Surgery Oncology Fellowship from Stanford University Medical Center in California after having completed her surgical residency at State University of New York – Downstate in Brooklyn. Since 2002, Dr. Kalu has written and presented several research abstracts at surgical and cancer symposia around the country. She enjoys several memberships and associate memberships in professional organizations such as the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the Society of Surgical Oncology, and the American Society of Breast Surgeons.

Michelle Mojares, P.A.-C

Michelle joined Summit Breast Care in 2005. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from New York University and her Masters in Physician Assistant from Seton Hall University/University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Michelle sees patients independently, reviewing her findings with Drs. Huston or White. This allows the patient to be seen sooner and be reassured, or get scheduled for a test and subsequent follow-up appointment with one of our doctors. Michelle is skilled in breast exam, breast ultrasound, cyst aspiration and evaluation of mammograms.
